BYSA Spring Instructional Program Information

Bridgewater Youth
soccer is proud to offer registrations for the Spring Instructional season. The
season will begin in the early part of the month of and extend for
Five weeks. The Instructional Season is designed to
introduce and expand our children’s knowledge of the
skills and fundamentals associated with soccer through
exciting lessons, drills and situational scrimmages.
The children will be placed on permanent
teams based upon gender and age.
Purpose:
To provide a recreational soccer program for Bridgewater
children between the ages of 5 & 12 during the
spring.
Goals of Program:
The program will provide a fun yet structured means of
teaching the skill necessary to play the game to the
players as well as provide a curriculum for teaching and
educational support to the coaches.
Equipment:
Shin-pads are required. Soccer cleats are recommended.
Players are also encouraged to bring their own ball
(size 4) – see attached soccer ball promotion. Jewelry
may not be worn during the program for safety reasons.
All players will be provided a shirt.
The Program will be dependent on
parents signing up to coach – please do so at
Registration. PARENTS, FUTURE COACHES AND COACHES
NEEDED!
Last year our Spring Instructional Program had over 400
children involved. They were placed on over 60 teams
with coaches. The coaches consisted of you the parents,
older children who wanted to stay involved with the
system and share their enjoyment of the game of soccer
and BYSA Board Members. This year we will need the
same type of support from you the parents. We would like
to extend this invitation to any parent who would like
to participate as a coach. The Spring Instructional
Program is not only there for your children, it is there
to help develop new coaches like you.

BORN ON OR BEFORE: JULY
31, 2003
Or register
in-person at the soccer house located at the corner of
Summer and Auburn Streets at the following dates and
times;
February 6th and 13th 6 to 7:30 pm
February 9th 9 to11 am
The cost of the program is $35.00 per child with a
$70.00 cap per family. A late fee of $20.00 per child
will be applied for any registrations after March 1st deadline for registrations will be April 1st.

children 4 to 6 years of age and our

children 5 to 14 years of age.
