Dear BYSA families.
We have received an updated mask mandate from Massachusetts Youth Soccer (MYSA). After clarification of the EEA guidance effective May 18, 2021, MYSA has announced the following amendments to mask protocols:
- When outdoors, players are not required to wear masks on the bench and in huddles.
- Masks are not required by Spectators, Coaches, Referees and other team/club/league officials when 6’ of social distance can be maintained. If this distance is not maintained masks must be worn.
- Masks are not required outdoors when entering and exiting and in common areas when 6’ of social distance can be maintained. Where proper distance can’t be maintained and indoors, masks must be worn.
Please keep in mind, players may continue to wear a mask at their parents discretion.
